Mr. Moreno graduated from University of Notre Dame’s School of Architecture in 1991 and has led teams in real estate development, architecture and construction. Working for Perspectiva Architects in El Paso, Hector managed the design team for Our Lady of Health Catholic Church in Las Cruces, NM, and led design teams on multiple K-12 projects and an 80,000 SF classroom building for El Paso Community College – Valle Verde campus. In 1996, Hector moved to Austin, where he worked as a project manager for O’Connell Robertson Associates. There he managed several K-12 projects and a medical office tower in Killeen, Tx. He moved to Houston, where we worked as a project manager for Kirksey Architects, managing design and construction of the Galveston Island Convention Center and Root Memorial Square, a historic plaza in downtown Houston. In the past two decades, Hector has worked as an owner’s representative on a variety of large multi-family, commercial, retail, higher education, and municipal projects across the country. His broad project experiences have given him much insight into the benefits of effective team building for many project types, large and small. Hector led efforts to develop the Western Downtown Houston Master Plan, an effort engaging civic, commercial, institutional and education leaders to imagine infrastructure and fiscal development for Houston’s next generation of urban real estate development. Hector has been a leader in exploring technology integration into the workplace, having trained teams on a variety of project management software platforms and having launched a field reporting mobile app. He is the co-founder of REDC.Tech, a technology roundtable for real estate developers, architects, engineers and builders empowered to discuss opportunities and challenges where technology tools can be applied. A resident of Austin, Texas, Hector is a life-long student and mentor, eager to share his experiences and improve project delivery for JNKA’s clients in Texas and beyond.
