Mr. Witt’s journey with JNKA began in 2007 after graduating from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana (UIUC). After 9 years with JNKA, Chris elected to pursue new opportunities and roles in the AEC industry, including working as a quality manager for a large contractor in Chicago. In addition to his 10+ years spent at JNKA on various projects of all sizes, he has over 6 years of experience working as Project Architect on large commercial and public projects, including a large mid-rise student housing & hotel development and multiple $200M+ multi-year/ multi-phase high school referendum projects throughout Illinois.
In his current role at JNKA, Chris is focused on the firms overall quality assurance and technical proficiencies and serves as mentor to younger staff, in addition to serving as a Senior Project Architect for the new St. Paul Catholic Church project in Olathe, Kansas. Chris has a strong appetite for knowledge and holds multiple credentials from the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), of which he is also a member. Mr. Witt is also a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and The International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) and is actively pursuing multiple new credentials related to the building envelope, building science and building commissioning. Chris enjoys all aspects of architecture but excels in the later stages, including construction administration where he often builds lasting relationships with owners, contractors and other trade partners. Chris recently rejoined JNKA after he and his wife welcomed their first child into the world.
