Christ Church of Oak Brook

 JNKA has 10+ year working relationship with CCOB, starting in 2015 with the renovation and conversion of existing office space into a vibrant and welcoming new welcome center, gathering space and mission hall that provides this evangelical church community with a dynamic and inviting space for welcoming and fellowship for current members and visitors. JNKA’s design employed white curvilinear ceiling planes positioned over a coordinated meandering flooring pattern that draws the people into and through the space. The design creates a warm and contemporary gathering space that has helped to further unite this community.

And in 2023 JNKA was commissioned to design an interior renovation of CCOB’s Family Ministry Center, including a larger entrance and children’s gathering and activity space, two fully renovated worship spaces (for middle school and high school students), new children’s class/meeting rooms, a new sensory space for children with special needs and new offices for the Family Ministry Team
