Holy Family Villa Skilled Nursing Residence, Palos Park, IL

JNKA designed this 38,000 s.f. addition to the Holy Family Villa skilled nursing residence in Palos Park for the Catholic Charities of Chicago. The addition includes a two-story masonry structure comprised of (2) 15-bed resident wings on the upper level with a variety of room types, including private rooms and separate living/activity areas. The central juncture houses nursing support functions, dining room, and bathing facilities. The main level is divided into a therapy center, large gathering space, and administrative offices, while a partial basement provides a new laundry, storage and mechanical room. The addition connects to the existing facility with an enclosed link on both levels, and an existing service tunnel in the basement. The project also includes an expansion of the existing chapel.
