JNKA recently presented a design proposal for the master planning/conceptual design phase for a new Catholic open structure in a Central Florida Vietnamese community. The parish has been growing rapidly and functions as a host of an annual congress and other major celebrations. To meet both present and future needs, JNKA proposed a 16,000+ square-foot open “shell” structure. Designed to seat 1,000 for worship or 700 for banquets and artistic performances, this flexible space will accommodate large groups. Over time, the structure will be enclosed to become a permanent church. Throughout our design process, we aimed to incorporate Vietnamese cultural characteristics and adapt to Florida’s warm weather conditions. We are thankful for the parish’s consideration and are happy to share these renderings from our portfolio of contemporary Catholic churches.
